Interviewing New Students

This year, St. Croix Middle School has received 26 new students. There are six 6th graders, fourteen 7th graders, and five 8th graders. A few days ago, my partner and I asked some of them a few question.
We rounded up some of the new kids and asked them a few questions:
“How has your first month at St. Croix Lutheran Middle School been?” we asked.  Lindsey, a new 6th grader, said, “ So far it’s been good.”
“Do you have any favorite subjects?” my partner asked. Athena, another new sixth grader, replied, “I like art class best.”
“What school did you go to before coming to St. Croix?” Karen, a new 7th grader from Korea, stated, “I went to Bulam Middle School.”
“Why did you decide to come to St. Croix Middle School?” Jesse, a new eighth grader, said, “My parents thought it would be good.”
My last and final question: “ Do you like it here?”
Lindsey, Athena, Karen, and Jesse say: “YES! I LOVE IT HERE!!!!”

New Teachers

Mr. Tyler Morgan
At the middle school this year, there are some new teachers. One of them is a student teacher from Martin Luther College. His name is Mr. Morgan.
For your freshman year and senior year, the students from Martin Luther College go to various schools around the country. At the schools they observe the teachers and then start teaching. This is part of their schooling at Martin Luther College.
Mr. Morgan’s hobbies are sports, coaching, teaching, and hunting. This fall he is coaching the middle school football team. The classes that he wants to teach are Physical Education, Social Studies, and Language Arts. He will be staying with us till November. Then he will return to MLC to finish his year.
Señora Karen Hennig
Another new teacher is Señora Hennig. She went to Martin Luther College in New Ulm and also Hamline University in St. Paul. She has lots of hobbies such as running, traveling to new places, trying new things, and reading good books. Señora Hennig has a small family. Her husband is Pastor Matt and preaches at Christ Lutheran Church in Hugo and North St. Paul. She also has two crazy cats, Samson and Moses. She teaches Spanish three and four, Middle School Spanish, and helps in the Learning Resource Center.
