Introducing Mr. Hulse

With spring upon us and the end of the school year in sight, life is moving at a lightening-fast pace. We're building a great team here at St. Croix Lutheran Middle School and plan to use this blog to introduce you to some of the people who will join us. Up first: Mr. Hulse, an experienced teacher who will start with us this fall!

Mr. Hulse and his wife, Erin, have two energetic boys -- Malachi (3) and Tristan (1). Mr. Hulse enjoys sports, yard work and spending time with his family. A graduate of Martin Luther College in New Ulm, Mr. Hulse is moving from Des Moines, Washington -- where he taught language arts, science, math, social studies and religion -- to teach at St. Croix. In addition to his work in the classroom, he also coached basketball, flag football, soccer and track.

Here's why we love Mr. Hulse ...

He writes: "The education of children is something I take very seriously. I strive to have the students use what they learn in my classroom in their everyday lives. Seeing them succeed in everything they do is a true joy for me. I look for every opportunity to write across the curriculum and have all subjects interact with each other. Using technology with student interaction to make learning fun, is a goal in all of my classes."

Welcome, Mr. Hulse!
